My first class reflection in Pedagogy in Education

Assalammualaikum and hi guys! Ready for my next blog? This time I'm gonna talk about what I've learned on my Pedagogy class on last Tuesday. For readers, I'm gonna said sorry at first if you found out there is a wrong grammar or anything else. Well, I'm not good at English but I'll try to improve it inshaaAllah :)

Happy three friends!

Before my second class started, Dr. Ng ( my lecterur of Pedagogy ) have asked us to read and understand about "What is Pedagogy?" and "The 3 types of school of thought" before entering the class. Well, I've read it but yet still don't understand at all. So on Tuesday morning I've enter the class without any breakfast due to I woke up late :P Hope on that class I'll understand a little bit. Hehe... xD

Our reaction when lecturer ask question... T_T

The first that we discuss on the Uniec Inspire is about "What is Pedagogy". Well to be honest, I really don't understand about it. There is a lot of question that is pop up on my mind but the most I don't understand is what is didactic? During the class Dr. Ng are asking "What is Pedagogy?", she keep asking us the question until we all feel scare about it. Since we all are keep silent, she randomly pick a student and ask her what is Pedagogy exactly. There are some student who did answer very well and some of the student's answer can make me understand too. After Dr. Ng is satisfied with one of the student's answer, she explained herself what exactly the real meaning of pedagogy. After the class I've understand that pedagogy is mean an educational approach by teacher because teacher is viewed as an authority who have impacts knowledge and skills that can be develop to the student.

Pedagogy huh?

After Dr Ng finished on explaining about what is pedagogy, what is didactic and so on. We move to the next article that is "3 types of school of thought". Before this, Dr have asked us to do a forum about the article. What she ask is about write a forum and list down each 3 in 4 characteristic with an example in one of the characteristic. When I'm doing that forum, I've no idea what I've writing. Seriously, nothing hahaha... But I've try to google is and at least, I do understand a little bit about the 3 types of school of thought. But yet, I have a question. "Which school of thought is the most important?" I mean on all of the school of thought, which one is the main thought that teacher use?

I think I know it.... Huehuehue xP

Before the next article start, our lecturer straightly ask the question lots. Damn I was clueless because I didn't understand it all. But what I know is there are 3 types of school of thought that have that is cognitive school of thought, behavior school of thought and humanistic school of thought. During the class, there is a lot of question about the 3 types of school but the most question I remember that Dr. Ng asked is "Can we put this 3 types of thought in a class, or a school?" At first, the respond from the others are cannot and our lecturer ask "why?". All of us silent for awhile and started to doing a "whisper talk" to discuss about why cannot apply all 3 types of thought in a school or classroom. Well, when Dr. Ng asked earlier whether can apply this 3 types on thought on school or classroom my earlier answer is can. Why? It is because that no matter in private school, public school, convent school and others, all of the students has not the same view, behavior, background, discipline and so on. Some of the student might can apply on behavioral thought but some can't, you can't apply to a student who is been trauma from some issues example bullies, family problem, accident and so on. You must apply humanistic school of thought to them so that they won't fell trauma at school and they can feel that school is their "second home". Every student have different types of thought, as a teacher we need to be fully concern and understand on what type of school of thought that we need to apply on each student.

Well, I guess that's for today. I hope that you guys understand on my blog. Hehehe... See you guys around! :)
Ohh!!! By the way, thanks for reading :)

    1. For me, humanistic school of thought is important to me. It is because that we need to teach student without any hard feelings. We couldn't let them study in a place where they feel insecure. That's my answer for this question. :)
