Hey guys! Welcome back!

As I mention earlier in my previous blog, I'll will suggest who's mock teaching is the best one! Well, from all the mock teaching that I've seen, I think the the best one is Jeremy's mock teaching! Don't you guys agree with me? I'm really enjoy his mock teaching, it's fun actually because it's has lot's of creativity in his mock teaching.

Based on what I see in his mock teaching, they way he managing the student is really simple. He's not strict but friendly with the student, even though student are asking too much questions but at least he is trying his best to answer it and for the nonsense things, he will try to ignore it. Mostly student will like teacher who are simple and easily to be friend, because this will bring them to learning in classroom more confidence and they will become more on paying attention in the class. Student nowadays mostly don't like teacher that are kind of strict because this make them feel locked inside the classroom and they feel that teacher is not trying to understand them. There are negative and positive about being a strict teacher but when we put ourselves in teacher's shoes, maybe we can understand why he or she are being strict? Back to topic, as I said Jeremy is good at handling at his class. He treat his student very best and giving them (the students) boosts in each student personality development. He make all of his student feels that they are learning in home, each student feels happy and they can be themselves and this also make the students to automatically respect him. But always remember, as friendly a teacher is, it must be careful distance with the students.

The way Jeremy managing his lesson is he try to combine the Maths' questions with something that attract us for example the nowadays famous movies "Beauty and A Beast". I really like the way he trying to catch students attention when it comes to exercises, I can said that in a classroom there are 6 out of 10 students don't like Maths. Hehe... even myself :P Jeremy did make the students feel that maths is everywhere, not just in math class but it is everywhere! From the exercise that he gives the student, the questions are from food or a flight that will be landing and is already makes the students to feels that they were learning from outside. Well I guess that he is really putting a lot of effort in trying to attract student's attention, nice work Jeremy!

From what I see in Jeremy's teaching method, I can see that he is using the interactive or participate methods. He makes all of his students to participate the activities to let the students to understand better more for the topic. As I said earlier, he is using the things that are around us that is famous to attract our attention to answer the questions. He want every students to participate in his class so that no one will ever feel that maths is hard and giving them some confidence in trying math questions. Next cooperative learning, he divide us into 2 groups so that he can encourage students to discuss together and solve the problems together. It's a really good ideas actually because its good for time management and he also moves from one group to another group just to gives help to us and encourage us to believe in group team.

Well, I'm not trying too said that only Jeremy's mock teaching is the best. Everyone is the best! It's just I like the way he conduct a class, it's attract students. I hope no one is hating me after reading this blog T_T sorry guys...

  5. Hi there mimi! I have a mutual stand with you too. I enjoyed Jeremy's teaching as much as you do.

Who do you think makes a good teacher? A strict teacher with good professionalism or a friendly teacher who is not professional in teaching? Justify.

    1. Hei Jen :)
Glad that you enjoyed as much too :)

For me to make a good teacher, a teacher should know on how and when to be strict and how and when to be friendly. If we just focus on one side. there will be some negative effects too. For example, if teacher are only know on how to strict but with a good professionalism; I don't think student will like it. I have no idea your good professionalism examples is what but what I felt is being a strict teacher with good professional skills might be good for teacher only, but not for student. :) Meanwhile if teacher are only friendly but professional, I bet it might be work but still need to have that "strict" for sometimes :)
Jen, is not easy to being a teacher, as a teacher we must have a strict and friendly teacher but with professionalism. We must know on how to manage ourselves for being a strict and friendly but professional so that students will said that "that is a good teacher" because the most important is student view on us, not others :)
